Chesterton Academy Graduates Excel at Benedictine College

The Chesterton Schools Network, a Catholic non-profit network of classically based high schools across America, was founded in 2008 and now has 62 member schools. The organization’s goal is to teach students the fundamental principles of a life well-lived using Jesus’ teachings. The Chesterton mission to prepare students to be the nation’s hope for the future and Benedictine College’s vision to transform culture in America align in such a way that Chesterton students find the transition comfortable and rewarding.

Mary Danner ’27 – Presidential Scholarship

Mary Danner of St. Charles, Illinois, is a proud alumna of the Chesterton Academy in Lisle, Illinois, not far from her home. Now a sophomore at Benedictine College, she spent her high school years learning the basics of the Catholic faith while studying in a rigorous curriculum that included four years of philosophy, theology and STEM courses. Chesterton not only prepared Mary for college-level courses and a difficult major in Nursing, but also prepared her to compete in Benedictine’s Presidential Scholarship weekend, during which she won a full-tuition scholarship.
