King St. Louis and the flowers of the field

I used to work in the archdiocesan archives and have a vague memory of seeing a picture there of G.K. Chesterton visiting Kenrick seminary during one of his lecture tours. Chesterton, of course, was a great admirer of St. Louis (I don’t know how he felt about the city, or how confused he may have become when we, naturally, asked him which high school he went to, but I mean to say that he was a great fan of King Louis IX, the man). In his (alleged) biography of St. Thomas Aquinas, Chesterton tells about the one time those two great saints met.
